CFDISK.2 -- CompactFlash-to-IDE Adapter | |
| 24.07.2008
Works OK on my Samsung X15 laptop. Do not forget wiring jamper 2 to enable Master mode. I was forced to do it with simple copper wire. However, a connector included in the package would be a more convenient way out :-(, which is not the case with CFDISK.2. 32M Transcend x133 card reached 17M/sec average transfer rate. DMA4 mode is limited by CF card only. I think new x266 CF cards could easily show ATA-66 speed on CFDISK.2. Windows XP SP3 was installed on the CF card without serious problems except for bugs with partioning. I would recommend formatting CF-card as one FAT32 volume (without partitioning) before Windows installation. |
