Intel D945GCLF2 (with integrated Atom 2x 1.6Ghz CPU, TV-Out)

Finally it arrived. One day before UPS mentioned on their trackingsite. In about 20 minutes I build the Atom into the box and connected it to my monitor. Installed Ubuntu 8.04.1 from my external DVD burner. The shop (CARTFT.COM) where I bought the components had a systembuilder on the website. This had me buy an extra 4pin-5.25 cable, but was completely not needed because the powersupply of the Morex 3310 had one already available. I did also purchase a lowprofile heatsink for the northbridge. Between all the too long cables and the driverack I had now a bit more space. Update from :2008-10-12 10:56 This is a great board. It's fast, but in the Morex case 3310 it generates a lot of heat. Anyone who buys this board should also replace the fan with a more quiet one. My local shop had one for about 5 euros. But I would really like it when some developer created a heatsink covering the Atom and the northbridge for a passive cooled system. |

Instead of 533 there was the 667 version. Works like it should. |

Morex Case 3310 | |

Tight fit with the D945GCLF2, even has a 4 pin connector on the powersupply. So you don't have to purchase a 4pin-5.25. |

Low profile Replacement heatsink for Intel D945GCLF(2), D201GLY, D201GLY2A

For the moment very needed. Together with a more silent cooler fits tight in the Morex case 3310. Because the drivebracket is almost on top of it. |

P4 connector cable (4pol-5.25)
| 12.10.2008
A not needed purchase in combination with the Morex case 3310. As the powersupply inside the case has already a 4pin cable available. But as I build computers on a regular basis I probably need it sometime soon. |

2,5" HDD 160GB SATA | |

What is there to say about this harddisk? It's small and fits well in the Morex case 3310. I only wish there are shorter SATA cables. Putting a 30cm cable is way too long. In this case even 10cm should be enough. |
