VoomPC-2 car PC enclosure

The voomPC(TM) automotive (car, boat, electric cart) enclosure is a small, rugged car PC (carputer) enclosure designed to work in harsh enviroments such as dust and high temperatures. Made our of massive 5.5mm extruded aluminum profile, the voomPC(TM) car PC (carputer) encloure was designed to work with any type of mini-ITX motherboard (170x170mm) from fanless configurations such as VIA mini-ITX or Pentium or low power Pentium-M processors, making it the ideal car PC solution. This car PC / carputer enclosure is specifically designed to work with the M1-ATX or M2-ATX car PC automotive power supply series, sold separately, scroll below for more information.

Your ideal under the seat or trunk car computer

The VoomPC-2 car PC (carputer) enclosure can take a SlimCD drive and a 2.5" drive.

At the front there are 2x USB ports and 2x RCA Audio connectors.

The box has a very good build quality but NOT compatible with the Intel D945GCLF2D board. All boards that have the power connector on the front (back=keyboard connector etc) will not fit into this box. The power cable blocks the optical drive and the SATA connector to the HDD. Front fans are also very noisy

Anfangs war ich skeptisch, da der Preis nicht der günstigste ist, jedoch habe ich trotzdem bestellt.. und es nicht bereut! Eine so gute Verarbeitung habe ich selten gesehen.. Alles hat seinen festen Platz und ist fest verbaut, dank der vielfältigen Adapter perfekt einsetzbar.. jeder Zeit wieder!

Nice design, high quality - one problem.
The fans are loud when run on full speed, more about this on the motherboard.

Echt geiles teil,passt in die kleinste ecke und is total easy zu befestigen. einziges manko innen alles extrem eng, aber trotzdem sehr gute wärmeabfuhr. Sehr rafinierte Einbauweise(aber ohne anleizung!?)

Product is very solid and professional feeling. Sturdy aluminium case makes it very rigid and also protects well all kinds of radiation from the PC.

Some cons I have to give from the design tho.
Case is kind of tight and a bit hard to put together as you have to assembly all that parts to base plate and then slide it in and this is where it's very easy to get some wires pinned or crushed.

Also the mounting of SATA HDD is not that good as it's really hard to get it fit with Intel D945GCLF2 mobo coz it has the ATX power connector right where the HD's SATA and power connectors are. I managed to get it fit JUST, but those connectors are a bit bent upwards now.
